Sergei Sergeyevich Tolstoy, born on 24 August, 1897 in England, died on 18 September, 1974 in Moscow. Buried in Vvedenskoye cemetery. (2)
First marriage in 1918 to Maria Alexandrovna Krazhanovskaya (born in 1898, died in 1919).
Second marriage on 2 May, 1927 to Vera Khrisanfovna Abrikosova (born on 27 March, 1906, died on 29 April, 1957 in Moscow. Buried in Vvedenskoye cemetery).
Third marriage on 29 July, 1966 to Raisa Vasilievna Chuchkova (born in 1922). Divorced on 14 March, 1972.
S. S. Tolstoy was a candidate of pedagogical scien-ces and specialist on the English language. In his later years he was professor in the Department of English at the Institute of International Relations of the Foreign Ministry of the USSR.
